Karen grew up in the Mojave Desert, where she developed a love for playing outside. She holds a Criminal Justice degree from University of North Dakota and has a variety of work experience from Sports to Bridal.

Karen’s passion for encouraging people to get outside brought her to Small Forest School. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, hiking, and spending all the time she can outside.
