Josie

Josie was born and raised in Fairbanks, and grew up skiing, hiking, and biking her way through the boreal forest. She has worked in outdoor education for a number of years, mostly with Calypso Farm and Ecology Center. Josie has worked with all ages, from toddlers to teens, and has a passion for getting kids curious about the world around them. She strongly believes that getting kids invested in the natural world from an early age is the best way to cultivate the next generation of environmental stewards.

Josie is currently a student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and enjoys studying all things math, environment, and politics. She lived abroad in Spain for a year and is fluent in Spanish. After a year abroad, she can say definitively that Alaska is her true home.
